A Canadian real-estate investment agency was seeking to extract land cadaster numbers from a Canadian government website in order to have a detailed investigation of the history of land use, legal accounts, and other related documents.
A tailored data collection scraper was implemented for collecting cadastral numbers and, later, matching to the exact addresses. The development process was not without its challenges because of the increased government protection anti-scraping methods but was still deemed as successful with all the relevant data extracted. The extracted data contained over 200k entries.
The client used the collected data to develop and enrich its internal database of real-estate listings, offering a much more in-depth analysis of each asset for its end customers.
