A B2B event ticketing platform that uses supply and demand algorithms and specialized in-house automation software to broker tickets at a large-scale between the primary and secondary markets was seeking support in extracting data out of the popular ticketing platform StubHub.

Solution

A tailored data collection scraper was developed to collect ticket prices and availability from the platform with ongoing regular updates. Important to mention that the StubHub platform was deemed by alternative data collection companies as ‘impossible to work around the anti-scraping protection’.

Impact

The client used the architecture for data collection to develop and increase the ticket offering to its clients while substantially lowering the time and cost to update prices and availability of tickets.
