The client was a PHD professor from a world leading European university doing research on the impact of social media twitts by key opinion leaders on the prices of related stocks. The client was interested in support over extracting the twitts and the related timestamps of provided accounts, and at a later point, the stock prices during that time.


A tailored data collection scraper was developed for scrapping from the provided Twitter accounts and the relevant stocks from the Yahoo finance platform. The data was collected, cleansed, and structured to allow further analysis.


The project was successfully delivered and allowed the researcher to focus the main efforts on the analysis part, saving dozens of hours and successfully creating the required research analysis tool.
